Doddabetta the highest peak in the nilgiri hills.There is a reserved jungles zone around the peak.It is located 9km from Ooty. It is the popular tourist attraction with the road access.Sub-alphine shrubs and herbs are common everywhere near the peak.Mostly popular tourist place in Ooty the average number of people in a day is 3500 during the vacation season and 700 a day while in off season.It containss coarse grass and sharpened trees.It is under the management of Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Coporation.There is observatory at the top of the Doddabetta with two telescope available for the public,from there they can view the entire hill so many tourists come there to take look at the nature’s best beauty.There are also many little stores near by where vacation people can shop and there also tiny food shops where people can have eat.
