Ooty is probably one of the famous hill station in south India and remains crowded with wide variety of tourist. Here holiday makers can witness many beautiful places one of which is Avalanche lake which is one of the nature’s paradise. This lake is located at a distance of about 28km from Ooty in the Nilgiris district. Because of the big landslide that occured in the region in the year 1823 after that this lake was formed here and now it has became the most visted tourist spot in Ooty. Near the lake there is trout hatchery where fishing people can get essentials such as fishing rods and foods. This place is a beautiful background for taking lovely photographs. Boat ride is also available for the tourist to enjoy with their friends and family. Lake remains open to tourist and visitors everyday from 8AM in the morning to 3PM in the evening.
