The flower show one of the famous part of Ooty. The first flower show was organised in the year 1896 by the chairman of Nilgiris Agri-Horiculture Society. Flower show attracts more than 150000 holidaymaker each and every year all over the world. More than 50varieties of plotted plants and 150 types of cut flowers and a variety of vegetables and fruits are exibited in the shows. Garden competitions are aslo held among the estate gardens and other various categories, competition is held piror to the flower show and are awarded with prizes. Flower show gathers up more number of people in a day. Children love to watch flower show because of the colourful blossoms all over the place.
